What to Expect

Your first visit will generally last from 45-50 minutes. Please allow enough time to arrive at your appointment on time and to fill out your patient information forms.

Subsequent visits usually include 30 minutes of Acupuncture and can include additional Therapeutic Massage from one of our licensed massage therapists.  Recommendations will be made at the time of your first visit – usually allow 30 minutes each.

Your Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) will take a detailed inventory, perform a physical exam which includes blood pressure, and Traditional Chinese Medicine ‘tongue and pulse’ diagnosis, diagnostic tools that are unique to acupuncture and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).


Once your acupuncturist has gathered enough information, your practitioner will provide you with your unique treatment plan. You will receive a comprehensive diagnosis and will discuss :
• Your underlying imbalances according to Traditional Chinese Medicine
• Your time line and modality of care
• Recommendations for types of therapies you will receive including acupuncture, acupressure/therapeutic massage, herbal therapy.
